FAQ

01/ When do room reservations start?

Winter 2019-2020 room reservations start on September 1, 2019, 10:00 AM. Please make your reservations on Hakuunsou’s official website.

02/ What time is check-in and checkout?

Check-in is at 3 PM and checkout is at 10 AM. The front desk closes at 9 PM. In case of late check-ins, please be sure to inform us of your estimated arrival time in advance. For late checkouts, we charge 2,000¥ per excess hour. Please note that we may not accept reservations depending on availability.

03/ Can we leave our luggage in your care after check-in or checkout?

Yes. Please inquire at the front desk. In addition, if your luggage is delivered to us in advance, we can keep it in custody for two weeks before your check-in. Please specify the guest representative’s name, date of stay, and contact information in the Special Remarks section of the delivery slip, and send it to the following address. 04/ Do you have non-smoking rooms?

Smoking is prohibited in this hotel, including inside the guest rooms and hotel grounds. (The smoking area is at the back of the ski room.)

05/ How do I get there from the airport?

We recommend taking a New Chitose Airport ⇔ Hirafu Welcome Center ski bus. Recommended bus companies are listed below. Please directly make your reservations to them.

06/ Do you have a pick-up service at Kutchan Station?

We have a shuttle service that will transport you from Hirafu Welcome Center to Hakuunsou. Please inform us of your arrival date and bus name at least a day before your arrival. We will pick you up. After your stay, we’ll also see you off until Hirafu Welcome Center.

07/ Do you have a pick-up service at Kutchan Station?

We do not offer pick-up services at Kutchan Station. Please take a taxi or a fixed-route bus from Kutchan Station to Hakuunsou.

08/ How do I get to the hotel from Hirafu Station or Niseko Station?

When traveling via the JR Line, please get off at Kutchan Station. You can also take a taxi from Niseko Station, but we recommend getting off at Kutchan Station as there aren’t many taxis around to accommodate you. Hirafu is an unmanned station, meaning it has no transportation facilities, so please get off at Kutchan Station.

09/ Can I request for a certain bed type?

Yes, you can. For two guests, we can arrange 2 single beds or 1 double bed. For three guests, we can arrange 2 single beds + 1 extra bed, or 1 double bed + 1 extra bed. Please inform us of your requested bed type at least a day before your arrival.

10/ Do you offer ski rentals?

There are many ski rental shops near the hotel. Please directly inquire at those shops.

*Cancel Fee Regarding the entire course of reservation(tax incl.) Canceling 61 days or more before check-in: Cancellation fee will be 20% of accommodation fee Canceling 60 days or less before check-in: Cancellation fee will be 100% of the accommodation fee ※The cancellation policy above also applies to cancellations due to weather, flight delay, and other reasons. We recommend getting a travel accident insurance in case of any unforeseen circumstances during your traveling.

11/ Do you have hot springs?

This hotel’s bathhouse is not a hot spring; it is a hot water bath. Available for guests only. (Except cleaning time from 9:30 – 12:00) Please bring the bath towel from your room when taking a bath there.

12/ Are meals included?

The accommodation fee includes breakfast. We do not serve dinner, but there are many restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel.

13/ Is it possible for you to get restaurant reservations for us in advance?

We are very sorry, but we cannot make restaurant reservations for you. It can get very crowded during the winter season, so we recommend making early reservations. When taking a taxi to a restaurant, we recommend reserving a taxi early.

14/ Do you have vending machines or ice makers?

The kitchenette has a vending machine (offers soft drinks and alcohol), an ice maker, and hot-water facilities.

15/ Do you offer laundry services?

You can use our washing machines and dryers for free. (7:00 – 22:00) Detergents are sold at the front desk.

16/ Do you have amenities?

The rooms have bath towels and face towels. There are toothbrushes, combs, ladies’ sets, and shave at the front desk’s side, so please feel free to use them. The bathhouse and guest rooms’ shower rooms also have shampoo, soap, hair treatment, and body soap.

17/ Do you have internet?

Free WIFI is available inside the hotel. You will be informed of the password upon check-in.

18/ Do you have a parking lot?

We have a free parking lot. Please inform us in advance if you are arriving by car.

19/ Is there an extra charge for children?

Children’s fees apply to over 6 years old and under 12 years old. Children under 5 years old sleeping with their guardians are free of charge. Children’s bed for children under 5 years old are subject to child fees.
