Regarding your stay

*Please note that the accommodation policy is different for each season.

The room charge is determined by the number of people staying or the number of children (adults, elementary school students and infants). If the number of guests or their ages change, the price may change.

All prices are in Japanese yen and include 10% Japanese consumption tax and 2% accommodation tax (introduced by Kutchan Town in November 2019) and other taxes.

In the event of any of the following changes, the entire reservation will be considered cancelled. If there are vacancies, please make a new reservation. In this case, a cancellation fee will be charged. >Room type >Date of arrival >Date of departure

It is not possible to exceed the maximum number of guests. Please note that if more guests than the number of guests have booked, we may charge an additional fee or refuse to stay.

Cancellation Policy (includes tax on the entire tour)

2023-2024 Winter Season Cancellation Policy Change

Cancellation policy will be relaxed due to the prevention of new coronavirus infection.

*Cancellation from 60 days prior to 31 days check-in date: 20% – Cancellation from 30 days to check-in date: 100% – Cancellation on the day before, the day before, or on the day of check-in, or no-show: 100% – Full amount of the accommodation fee – Cancellation and refund rates are based on the credit card companies and banks. It varies. In the event of a refund, the customer is responsible for the transfer fee.

*In the unlikely event that your flight is delayed or cancelled or your arrival or departure date is changed for any other reason and you are unable to stay in your reserved accommodation, no refunds will be given.

*We recommend that you have your own travel insurance to cover for any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during your trip, such as cancellation or schedule change, from the date of your booking confirmation.

*We recommend that you purchase the appropriate travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during your trip.

*Subletting of rooms to a third party without written approval from Hakuun-so is not allowed. In accordance with the Hakuunso Accommodation Clause, all guest information will be recorded for all guests staying at Hakuunso.

Regarding the Children’s Rate

*The children’s rate is for children who are over the age of 6 and under the age of 12. (Junior high school students pay the adult price.)

*Children 5 years old and under who do not require their own bed are free, with a limit of 2 such children per room.

*If a child who is 5 years old or younger requires their own bed, the children’s rate will be charged.

Regarding the Family Plan

*The family plan is for 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 12, with a total of 4 people in 1 room. The room type for the family plan will be a room with a view of Mt. Youtei. The bed type for this plan will be either a Hollywood twin (two adjoined twin beds) or 2 separate twin beds.

Regarding Breakfast

*The fee for breakfast is included in the lodging fee. OPEN 7:00am~9:30am We can prepare a light meal for guests who will depart early in the morning. Please request this at the front desk no later than the day before your departure.

Regarding the Rooms

*Any and all damage caused by guests to the facility and its rooms, shared spaces, equipment, furniture, and room keys, including the loss of room keys, during their stay will be considered the sole responsibility of the guest.

*Loss of hotel room cards as well as the keys to the ski locker room will result in a ¥2,200 charge per lost key.

*Guests are responsible for the handling of their lift tickets, as well as all rental items that they have borrowed from Hakuunso, and all of their personal property.

*The front desk is open from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. The front entrance will be locked at 10:00 p.m.

*Check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. We ask that guests please inform us of their expected arrival time in advance. Furthermore, we also ask that guests contact us if there will be a change in their arrival time. Please understand that in the event that a guest arrives earlier than their scheduled arrival time, their room may not be available until their scheduled arrival time. Last minute reservations will also have a check-in time of 3:00 p.m. or later.

*Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. We ask that guests please vacate their rooms by this time. *In the case that a guest has not vacated their room by 10:00 a.m. a late check-out fee of ¥2000 per hour or partial hour will be added to their bill. Requests for late check-outs should be submitted in writing. However, please understand that based on the state of our reservations, there are times when late check-outs are not possible.

*We reserve the right to enforce the check-out time on guests who have exceeded their check-out times.

*All rooms are cleaned and given fresh linens and towels before the next guest’s check-in time.

*Rooms will be cleaned every day, including making the bed and exchanging towels.

*In the case that a guest is staying for 3 or more days, their bed linens will be changed every 3 days.

*Each room can have either twin or double beds prepared. If a guest does not request their preferred bed type before their stay, we will decide a bed type based on the number of guests in the reservation. We ask that guests please inform us of their preferred bed type at least 7 days before their reservation.

*Pets are not allowed.

*Parking is free. Reservations are not necessary, but we ask that guests please inform us if they will be bringing a car.

*Our entire hotel is non-smoking. We reserve the right to remove all guests, as well as those accompanying them, who are found smoking, and who continue to smoke inside their rooms regardless of having received a warning against it. In this case, we are unable to issue a refund.

*In the event that a guest or one of their accompanying guests is found smoking in their room, an additional cleaning fee of a minimum of ¥50,000 will be added to their bill. In addition, the hotel reserves the right to collect for damages for any expenses related to the next guest if they are affected by the process of deodorizing the room, as well as any fees associated with preparing a new room for them due to the smell.

Regarding the Shuttle Bus Service

*Our hotel has a shuttle bus service between the Hirafu Welcome Center and Hakuunso. We are also able to pick up any guests who plan to arrive at the Hirafu Welcome Centre by bus. Please inform us no later than the day before your arrival if you wish for us to pick you up there.

*Please also inform us of the bus company, bus number, and the arrival time of the bus that you will be taking. We are also able to take guests to the Hirafu Welcome Center after they have checked out. Please inform the front-desk of what time you would like to depart from the hotel.

*The Shuttle Bus to the Ski Hill Our shuttle bus route to the skill hill is as follows Hakuunso→ Hirafu gondola station→ Hirafu Welcome center It runs in 15 minute intervals from 8:15 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ※Please understand that the shuttle is not able to drop off passengers anywhere other than the gondola station and the Hirafu Welcome Center. We ask that guests please find their own transportation back to the hotel.

Travel Insurance and the Guest’s Responsibility

*Our hotel only operates within Japan. All of our services are offered in accordance with Japanese law. Some of our services are provided by other agencies. The acceptance of reservations will be handled in accordance with the terms and conditions of said agencies, or of Hakuunso itself.

*To the extent permitted by law the hotel does not accept any liability for losses, damages, delays, delays in flights, indirect damages, and injuries of any kind, or death, providing that they are unforeseen events, which occur due to unavoidable situations and for reasons that cannot be attributed to the hotel itself.

*After receiving their booking confirmation, we suggest that guests purchase the appropriate personal travel insurance to cover any unexpected circumstances that may possibly occur. Furthermore, by using our hotel, guests are considered to have agreed to taking responsibility for any such risks.
